On April 25th, 2026, Jacque Aye opened the doors for the first Black Girl Book Fair!
The online fair was 100% free, with collaborations with Janelle Monae’s Wondaland, special guests like Taylor Cassidy, Stephanie Williams, Moonie’s Club Podcast host, Sailor Victoria, and more, with a catalogue of Black Women authors and bookish creators.
If you’re not familiar with Jacque Aye, her content has always been cute, magical, and genuine. So the entire site, catalogue, and all the promotional highlights are a true reflection of her brand.
All ticket-holding patrons had access to the catalogue at discounts of up to 80%. It was a great way to add more Black authors to your shelves while also being in community with other book-loving Black women. There were also Instagram Lives that ticket-holders still had access to after the event was over.
The success of the book fair warranted 8,500 attendees, 400k people across social media, and grew her account from 0 to 26k in 3 months. She is continuing the free online fair again this October to celebrate Black women in horror. Be sure to get your tickets here!
