Peace and blessings, and happy spring, everyone! Another great season of anime is coming, and I can’t wait. I had to limit myself to only 9 anime this season because I watch too much (if you didn’t already know lol) and I do want to watch more live-action TV. Maybe you will see more live-action reviews in the future. But for now, let’s get to it!
Dr. Stone Science Future Cour 3

Dr. Stone is now coming to an end. I have been following this anime since its premiere at Anime Expo in 2019, and have been a huge fan ever since. The first and second cour had me at a chokehold every episode, and it was my personal favorite anime of 2025. I hear that Senku and the crew will be going to space this cour, so I can’t wait to see that! It will also be sad to see this end, but I do believe that this anime will end on a great note.
Season 1 synopsis:
Several thousand years after a mysterious phenomenon that turns all of humanity to stone, the extraordinarily intelligent, science-driven boy, Senku Ishigami, awakens. Facing a world of stone and the total collapse of civilization, Senku makes up his mind to use science to rebuild the world. Starting with his super strong childhood friend Taiju Oki, who awakened at the same time, they will begin to rebuild civilization from nothing… Depicting two million years of scientific history from the Stone Age to present day, the unprecedented crafting adventure story is about to begin!

Witch Hat Atelier

I’ve been hearing of this anime for a while now, and the manga has been on my list for years. I read the first volume of the manga recently, and I was immediately hooked. I can’t wait to see it animated. I also keep hearing from other fans that this anime will be anime of the year, so I guess we’ll see!
Synopsis:
In a world where everyone takes wonders like magic spells and dragons for granted, Coco is a girl with a simple dream: She wants to be a witch. But everybody knows magicians are born, not made, and Coco was not born with the gift for magic. She’s resigned to her un-magical life, until a traveling magician passes through her village, and Coco learns what everybody “knows” might not be the truth.

Wisteria: Wand and Sword Season 2

If you have yet to watch this anime, please do. This anime came out in the summer of 2024, and I wished more people knew about it back then because the story and animation are so good. I love stories where the main character strives to be the best they can be and continues to improve their skills, even when very few believe or support them. If this speaks to you, start watching this now!
Season 1 synopsis:
To fulfill the promise he made to his childhood friend, Will Selfault enters Regarden Magic Academy with the goal of making it to the top of the magical world. There’s just one problem—he doesn’t know how to use magic! Will the seemingly ordinary sword in his hand be the key to unlock his true potential?

Daemons of the Shadow Realm

I’m so excited for this one because it is by Hiromu Arakawa, the same creator and author of Full Metal Alchemist! I love how this follows the story of twins because I’m also a twin lol. This animation also looks great, as you can expect from Studio Bones. I also heard that this will win anime of the year so I guess we’ll see!
Synopsis:
In a world where certain humans command mighty supernatural duos called Daemons, it is the birthright of “the children who sunder day and night”—twins Yuru and Asa—to rule over these powerful entities. Separated from a young age and unaware of the truth of their birth, brother and sister must fight to make their way back to each other, claim their birthright, and save the world…

Mao

I’m also excited for this one because this is by my favorite mangaka, Rumiko Takahashi! I have been enjoying all of her adaptations and remakes so far, so I know this will be good. I like that is follows the same concept for going back and forth in time like Inuyasha, but also follows a mystery. I think this anime will follow a more serious tone and may have less comedic moments, but I guess we’ll see!
Synopsis:
Nanoka passes through a portal into the Taisho era, where exorcist Mao reluctantly rescues her from the jaws of a grotesque yokai. When Nanoka gets back to the present, she discovers she has some new, incredible abilities. She returns to the past looking for answers, only to get caught up in Mao’s investigation of a series of gruesome murders. As her questions about herself multiply, Nanoka learns that Mao is cursed by a cat demon named Byoki—and so is his sword. If anyone but Mao attempts to wield it, they are doomed. But when Mao’s life is in jeopardy, Nanoka picks up his blade and swings!

Liar Game
I love anime that involves games and makes you think, so I knew I had to check this out. Also, this will be animated by Madhouse, so I know this will be good!
Synopsis:
“Congratulations! You are 1 of 100,000 people who have been entered in the amazing Liar Game tournament!” For Nao Kanzaki, an overly-naïve student, receiving this message in the mail was only the beginning of an unending financial and psychological nightmare. Winning the game means riches beyond one’s wildest dreams, while failure means crushing debt. And with no choice but to play the game, Nao quickly turns to Shinichi, a well-known swindler, for help. However, little do the two know just how far the Liar Game goes. Who will win, and who will lose it all?

Petals of Reincarnation

I decided to check this out because it has such a cool concept. Not only can the main character experience his past life, but he can also interact with historical figures, which is cool! The character designs and fight scenes also look great. I can’t wait to see how this goes!
Touya Senji is painfully ordinary, a fact made all the more obvious when he’s compared to his talented (and deceased) older brother. But when an unusual student named Haito Le Buffet transfers into Touya’s class, his life takes a turn for the extraordinary. Haito, a “Returner,” can use the “Branch of Reincarnation” to channel the powers and abilities of her past life as the renowned swordsman Musashi! Now embroiled with the secret society called the “Forest of the Greats,” Touya begins to explore his own past life’s talents alongside the reincarnations of famed figures like Newton, Einstein, and more… but not all Returners intend to use their legendary talents for good.

Classroom of the Elite 4th season: Second Year, First Semester

This show keeps continuing, and I will keep watching it until the end lol. This anime is also full of mind games, which I enjoy, and I still want to understand the main character’s background and who he actually is. He is still a mystery to me. Let’s hope we learn more about him and the crazy school that he’s in.
Season 1 Synopsis:
Ayanokouji Kiyotaka has just enrolled at Tokyo Koudo Ikusei Senior High School, where it’s said that 100% of students go on to college or find employment. But he ends up in Class 1-D, which is full of all the school’s problem children. What’s more, every month, the school awards students points with a cash value of 100,000 yen, and the classes employ a laissez-faire policy in which talking, sleeping, and even sabotage are permitted during class. But among all the students who lead such self-indulgent lives, there is one who disagrees with it all and chooses to remain solitary, avoiding contact with others: the beautiful Horikita Suzune. She has figured out that, even though the school gives students huge amounts of money, it also offers many means of “assistance for students with no money.” One month later, Ayanokouji, Horikita, and the students of Class D learn the truth of the system in place within their school…

Reborn as a Vending Machine, I Now Wander the Dungeon Season 3

This anime is silly, hilarious, and wholesome, which is why I continue to watch it. That is all I have to say.
Season 1 synopsis:
After dying in a traffic accident, I find myself standing near an unfamiliar lake. My body won’t move, I can’t hear my voice, and when I try to shout in confusion, words that I never expected come out! I-it seems I’ve turned into a vending machine… How am I going to survive some fantasy world’s dungeon like this?!
