Peace and Blessings! The Fall Season is here and I can’t wait to start watching some bangers! Some will be recurring and some will be new. Here are the animes that I plan to check out this Fall:
Beastars the Final Season Part 1
Airs December 2024

Beastars is coming to a close 😭 I’ve enjoyed this anime from the beginning because of their fire opening themes and the premise. The story is like an adult version of Zootopia which deals with carnivores vs herbivores, and a murder mystery. The animation done by Studio Orange is also unique in that it uses 3D CG animation, some people may not like it but I very much enjoy it. I recommend you check this out if you like the mystery and horror genre!
Synopsis of Season 1:
One night at Cherryton Academy, an herbivore student is brutally murdered. Among the members of the Drama Club, the herbivores’ suspicions naturally turn to their carnivore classmates… The prime suspect? Wolf Legoshi. But he wouldn’t hurt a fly. Or would he? Will dwarf rabbit Haru bring out the beast in him? Or are his feelings for her… something else?

Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War: Part III – The Conflict
Airs October 5th on Hulu

I’ve read the Bleach manga years ago but due to forgetting a lot of it, I decided to start the anime once I found out that the anime was coming back. I finally caught up to Bleach after and I’m so hyped for this arc! This arc by far is my favorite due to the increased sense of danger and stakes for the soul reapers. Every episode in the arc had me shocked and the fight scenes are very good. Bleach is now one of my favorite anime for sure and I highly recommend it!
Synopsis of Part 1:
The peace is suddenly broken when warning sirens blare through the Soul Society. Residents there are disappearing without a trace and nobody knows who’s behind it. Meanwhile, a dark shadow is also extending itself toward Ichigo and his friends in Karakura Town…

Blue Lock vs. U-20 Japan
Airs October 5th on Crunchyroll
Blue lock has become one of my favorite sports anime not only because of my love of soccer/football, but because of the premise of this show. Blue lock negates teamwork, and instead aims to find the best striker which may not seem like a good thing at first, but it has motivated these players to be the best they can be. Their recent movie “EPISODE Nagi” has also made me more hyped for this new arc. I also love the imagery of certain player’s inner thoughts that this anime tries to bring out. I highly recommend checking this out if you love sports and very intense soccer matches!
Synopsis of Season 1:
After a disastrous defeat at the 2018 World Cup, Japan’s team struggles to regroup. But what’s missing? An absolute Ace Striker, who can guide them to the win. The Football Association is hell-bent on creating a striker who hungers for goals and thirsts for victory, and who can be the decisive instrument in turning around a losing match…and to do so, they’ve gathered 300 of Japan’s best and brightest youth players. Who will emerge to lead the team…and will they be able to out-muscle and out-ego everyone who stands in their way?

Dandadan
Airs October 3rd on Crunchyroll and Netflix

I’m excited for this because I love horror and I can tell that this will be a comedy as well. The animation in this trailer also looks great. Also the opening theme “Otonoke” is by Creepy Nuts which I know is going to be fire. This will be a great anime to watch during the spooky season!
Synopsis:
Momo Ayase and Okarun are on opposite sides of the paranormal spectrum regarding what they’ll believe in and what they won’t. Their quest to prove each other wrong leads them down a path of secret crushes and paranormal battles they’ll have to participate in to believe!

Ranma 1/2 Remake
Airs October 5th on Netflix
I love how another one of Rumiko Takahashi’s anime is getting a remake! I enjoyed the Urusei Yatsura remake so I know I have to check this one out. I love Takahashi’s comedy in her works so I can’t wait to be cracking up.
Synopsis:
Ranma, raised to be a man among men, has a bit of a problem: he is half woman! While training in China he fell into a strange magic spring at Jusenkyo. Now, he is eternally cursed to change into a beautiful woman whenever he is hit by cold water, but that may be the least of his problems; his father has betrothed him to marry! There’s never a dull day for Ranma as he attempts to find a cure for his curse, train to become stronger, and grapple with the fact that half of himself may be more feminine than his fiancée!
Uzumaki
Airs September 28 on Adult Swim and Max

Uzumaki by Junji Ito is one of my favorite mangas ever and the anime is finally coming out! I love how this anime literally takes the manga out of its page because of its black and white animation and similarity with the illustrations. I’ve never seen this done before and I can’t wait to be creeped out again. This will definitely be another great series during the spooky season.
Synopsis:
In the seemingly-normal small Japanese town of Kurozu-cho, odd events are beginning to take place. Residents are becoming obsessed with spiral – whirlwinds, snail shells, pottery, or anything with a spiral design. But when strange events start happening in the town, with spirals appearing in disturbing places, can anyone escape their horrible draw?
