Another anime season is starting! I felt like this past winter went by so fast, but I was able to enjoy a lot of anime, especially news ones such as Tomo-chan is a girl, Trigun Stampede, and The Ice Guy and his cool Female Colleague. I’ll be sad to see these go but I’m excited for this new season! Here are my picks:
A Galaxy Next Door
Airs April 8th on Crunchyroll

I’ve never heard about this anime until reading about it on the Spring anime charts, but after reading the synopsis, I was immediately intrigued. I like that this anime is about drawing and writing manga, and the main characters are adults! The trailer also gives me The Ice Guy and his cool Female Colleague vibes because the assistant seems to have special powers or something. I’ll definitely check this out!

He doesn’t even have time to learn how to use a computer, which forces him to keep wrestling with pen and paper. But then a new assistant pops into Ichiro’s life, and his prospects immediately start to brighten! She’s an incredible artist, she always finishes on time, and she’s beautiful, to boot! But she also seems to know an awful lot about him, and, soon, she makes a confession that bends Ichiro’s mind beyond the confines of Earth…

Hell’s Paradise

Another anime done by studio MAPPA? Count me in! I’ve only heard good things about this anime and the trailer looks amazing. I like that the anime is set in the Edo era, and has a diverse set of characters. I can’t wait to immerse myself into a new world!

Failure is not an option—on this island, Heaven and Hell are a hair’s breadth away.
Kawaisugi Crisis (Too Cute Crisis)

I’m only checking this out because I found the synopsis hilarious and the trailer is full of cats. Anime will forever surprise me.

TONIKAWA: Over the Moon for You 2nd Season
Airs April 8th on Crunchyroll

Lastly, my most anticipated anime this season is the continuation of Tonikawa! This is one of my favorite romance anime currently and I can’t wait to enjoy more hilarious and wholesome scenes with these two newlyweds. I hear that we might learn more about Tsukasa’s origins as well. This couple keeps getting closer and they continue to warm my heart. If you plan to continue from the first season, don’t forget to check out the OVAs all on crunchyroll!
