Tokyo Revengers Christmas Showdown

Airs January 7th on Disney+

Tokyo Revengers is finally back! I really enjoyed the first season, which ended with a big cliffhanger, and have been waiting patiently. I’m hope Takemichi eventually gets his revenge… though I hear the story just gets worse. Looking forward to more drama and meeting new crazy characters!

Synopsis (Crunchyroll)

Takemichi Hanagaki is a freelancer that’s reached the absolute pits of despair in his life. He finds out that the only girlfriend he ever had in his life that he dated in middle school, Hinata Tachibana, had been killed by the ruthless Tokyo Manji Gang. The day after hearing about her death, he’s standing on the station platform and ends up being pushed over onto the tracks by a herd of people. He closes his eyes thinking he’s about to die, but when he opens his eyes back up, he somehow had gone back in time 12 years. Now that he’s back living the best days of his life, Takemichi decides to get revenge on his life by saving his girlfriend and changing himself that he’d been running away from.

Spy Classroom

Airs January 5th on Hidive

I read the first volume of the manga and I’m enjoying it! This is about a class of spies in training for an important spy mission, and as part of their training they have to try to defeat their teacher which happens to be the greatest spy in the world. The class is all girls and the teacher is a man; so it’s giving harem vibes LOL. I enjoy stories that involved students striving to succeed, and I look forward to learning more about each girl. The story is also similar to Assisination Classroom, which is really enjoyed. I look forward to continuing the story through the anime and to see these girls in action.

Tomo-chan is a Girl

Airs January 5th on Crunchyroll

I saw the trailer for this anime a few months ago and I had it on my to-watch list since then. I love how the story is about a tomboy confessing her love to her crush and I’m rooting for her. I also heard a lot of positive reviews of the manga so I’m looking forward to a good watch. I enjoy romantic comedies like these and have not seen/read one in a while, so I’m ready for some good entertainment this winter.

Boyish high school girl Aizawa Tomo finally manages to tell her childhood friend Jun that she’s got a crush on him. Unfortunately, her confession goes right over his head—he didn’t even realize she was a girl until junior high, and even now, Jun still thinks of her as a bro! How can Tomo-chan possibly convince him otherwise and win Jun’s heart?

Vinland Saga Season 2

Airs January 10th on Netflix and Crunchyroll

Vinland Saga has been on my watch list for a long time, and when I heard the news about season 2 I finally started watching season 1! I’m really liking the story so far and the animation is very good. MAPPA studios will be animating season 2 and I’m sure it’s going to be just as good, or even better!!!
