Kaguya-sama Love is War – Ultra Romantic
Airs April 8th on Crunchyroll

Season 3 of Kaguya-sama Love is War is coming back after a long hiatus! I binged the first two seasons during the beginning of the pandemic and it brightened my mood because it’s so funny. This anime also has bomb openings and endings which were nominated in the Crunchyrool anime Awards! This show also won best comedy for two years in a row! If this doesn’t convince you to start watching this, then I don’t know what else will.

As leaders of their prestigious academy’s student council, Kaguya and Miyuki are the elite of the elite! But it’s lonely at the top… Luckily for them, they’ve fallen in love! There’s just one problem—they both have too much pride to admit it. And so begins the daily scheming to get the object of their affection to confess their romantic feelings first…Love is a war you win by losing.
Komi Can’t Communicate 2nd Season
Airs April 6th on Netflix

This show is so precious and I love it so much. I love how this anime highlights mental illness, and I love seeing Komi slowly improve on her communication. I can’t wait to meet new characters that Komi becomes friends with and see her relationship with Tadano grow! This show is also hilarious and won best Comedy in the 2022 Crunchyroll Anime Awards!
Description (Viz)
The journey to 100 friends begins with a single conversation. Socially anxious high school student Shoko Komi’s greatest dream is to make some friends, but everyone at school mistakes her crippling social anxiety for cool reserve! With the whole student body keeping their distance and Komi unable to utter a single word, friendship might be forever beyond her reach. Timid Tadano is a total wallflower, and that’s just the way he likes it. He lives to blend in with the background. All that changes when he finds himself alone in a classroom on the first day of high school with the legendary Komi. He quickly realizes she isn’t aloof, she’s just super awkward. Now he’s made it his mission to help her on her quest to make 100 friends!
Rising of the Shield Hero Season 2
Airs April 6 on Crunchyroll

I first heard about this anime in 2018 and I regret not watching it sooner. I’m currently watching the 1st season and plan to continue it into the 2nd season. As of now, I can confirm that Raphtalia is the best girl. I also can’t wait to see Naofumi and his party to help more villages, defeat more monsters, and bring Myne down.
Description (One Peace Books)
After their battle with Glass, Naofumi and the other heroes have a meeting with the queen and Naofumi is shocked to learn about the seven star heroes. Still reeling from this revelation, more drama unfolds on the islands before Naofumi and his party can return to Melromarc. A massive monster bearing the appearance of a giant tortoise must be defeated. The monster is so powerful that even the mightiest adventurers cannot defeat him so what hope is there for Naofumi?
Odd Taxi: In the Woods

If you haven’t wanted Odd Taxi yet, please do so now. For me, this was one of the best anime of 2021. It unfortunately didn’t win anime of the year in the 2022 Crunchyroll Awards but Baku Kinoshita won best director for it, and Odakawa, the main character, won best protagonist. I loved this anime because it was full of mystery and suspense, and there is a huge twist in the end. This movie I believe will tell the story from a different perspective and reveal more of what happened after the ending. Once again, please watch this!
Description (ANN)
Film which “reconstructs” the Odd Taxi TV anime and also depicts what happens after the TV anime’s finale.

Bubble
Airs April 28th on Netflix

This is an anime movie that I have recently heard about so I decided to watch the trailer. I was immediately amazed by the animation. After realizing that it is directed by Tetsuro Araki who worked on Attack on Titan, written by Gen Urobuchi who worked on Puella Magi Madoka Magica, and animated by WIT Studio, I knew I had to check this out. I can’t wait for this!
Description (Netflix)
The story is set in Tokyo, after bubbles that broke the laws of gravity rained down upon the world. Cut off from the outside world, Tokyo has become a playground for a group of young people who have lost their families, acting as a battlefield for parkour team battles as they leap from building to building. Hibiki, a young ace known for his dangerous play style, makes a reckless move one day and plummets into the gravity-bending sea. His life is saved by Uta, a girl with mysterious powers. The pair then hear a unique sound audible only to them. Why did Uta appear before Hibiki? Their encounter leads to a revelation that will change the world.
